My Daily Bread (Bible Verse: NAB, KJV, NIV, Christian) App Reviews

I LOVE this App! Day and night I turn to it for comfort... Please let the next version include an option that leaves just the beautiful image and scripture so that a photo can be taken and sent to encourage a friend. Patrick

This is a pretty good app and easy to find and save verses. But I found some verses I really like (eg. Psalm 34:18) that werent in there and there doesnt appear to be any way to add verses.

All this app does is generate a random scripture, I had hoped for a daily commentary as well.

I use this app every morning to start my day! Its not quite like the Daily Bread magazine I receive every month, but its quick for when you are on the go. I would like to see an option to save favourite verses, such as Psalm 32:8. Its one of my favourites, along with Jeremiah 29:11-13. DJ Gory.

Well when it comes to God you cant pick and choose. Ive been using this app since 2009 and it does what its supposed to do I get the verses I read them and everyone is happy. I just wished it would get updated. As I said it does what its supposed to do.

I love the ease of use as well as the breadth of content. The option to choose different versions with search capability is a really nice touch as well. Very cool!

I totally "dislike" the photo you see the minute you open the app. It gives me the creeps somehow the sense of "Idol Worship" I have recommended this app. to others in a review that I wrote about another app. of this nature but as time has gone by day after day opening up this app. Ive discovered how annoying it has become having to see that so called picture of Jesus the 1st thing everyday Ive stopped using it now in hopes that the dev. will change the picture to a fountain or something more inspireing than annoying. The other features are great though, as others have already said. If only theyll get rid of that picture Ill give ten stars if I could.

This is a professional and slick application. It has enough features to be interesting and add value, but is simple enough to be attractive and easy to use. The NIV and King James are the two versions I use the most, so it is nice to have both.

First, the picture shouldnt be random. Next these are just one line verses for each day; I was expecting the complete readings for each day. I mean this is something that I would expect to be free.

The picture of Jesus standing holding the lamb is beautiful. And one that u have seen many times. And u only see it the first two seconds of the appl. So the idea of it being "idol" is strange. This appl is great and worth $.99. I love that I have all my favorite scriptures at my finger tips. And when a lost soul comes to me and asks me why I have hope I will have my scriptures available to use. This of course doesnt take the place of ur bible but is a great tool!

Great! Especially for a quick inspiration at any time, at any place. I use other apps or my bible for more in depth reading-- just wish it was available in the NKJV. --and I also love the opening pic of Jesus our shepard.

Easy to use, customizable, and beautiful!

I tried a free bible verse app but it kept repeating the verses or it would use part of a really long section of verses that should have been left together but they cut it up. This app has a great user interface and awesome verse selection. I like that you can save your favorites or search for ones you want. Very nice and I would definitely recommend spending the $1 to get it.

I have been waiting for a daily bread devotional like I had with my PDA. Thought this was it. For the price you get a photo with one verse and thats basicly it like the free ones you can mark a favorite. But there is no devotional ( small memo to pick you up to go with the verse). I will keep looking Happy New Year 

This is one of my favorite apps on my phone. I love to gnaw on my daily verse all day, and I love that I can save favorite verses. Great app!

Some of the verses used are really obscure.

Book of Sirach? My daily reading from this book came up today. After research on this book of Sirach I deleated this app.
